Ronin 2 from DJI is a professional 3-axis handheld gimbal that is compatible with a variety of production equipment including cable cams, drones, Steadicams, and more. With its customizable mounting modes such as handheld, car mount, aerial and tripod mode that aids the Ronin 2 in working accurately in different shooting scenarios. And, its new Pan Lock mode has been specially designed for work with Steadicams.
Engineered to let filmmakers capture the scene they see in their mind, Ronin 2 has upgraded high torque motors that allow it to support a wider range of cameras, resist high winds and G-forces caused when mounted to a car and keep it moving smoothly in flight. The simplicity of Ronin has been amplified with Ronin 2, making setup and use easier than ever. Everything, from mounting cameras to balancing and tuning, powering accessories and transportation has been tweaked and refined for ease and speed.
Power systems are now tightly integrated into Ronin 2, capable of powering its motors and the attached camera and accessories without dangling cables or multiple power systems. As it uses a dual battery system, filmmakers can hot swap batteries to keep the camera and accessories powered and maximize shooting time. Every element of Ronin 2 has been designed to maximize reliability, from materials to the splash-proof enclosed motor design, cable management, and redundancy. All of this creates a system that shines in the most demanding of shooting environments.
Whether it's a simple DSLR or a professional camera with cinema grade glass with all accessories mounted, Ronin 2 will be able to stablize the build including handling the RED Dragon, ARRI Alexa Mini, Black Magic Ursa Mini, Canon C300, Sony FS7 and many more. Additional refinements include a dedicated ultra-bright display for settings and adjustments that has been integrated into Ronin 2 and tactile buttons including motor use are now easily within reach. And DJI's Ronin 2 has also been upgraded for enhanced intelligence, which means the ability to get shots that normally need special expertise or additional equipment such as Panorama, Timelapse and CamAnchor.
