The STF-8 Twin Flash is the world's first weatherproof macro flash system, specially designed for capturing macro images in all types of conditions. With its compact and lightweight design, you can easily capture properly illuminated macro shots in any environment, even in the rain.

The STF-8 offers unparalleled macro lighting control. In addition to full TTL auto-sync, you can manually choose the output power, from full all the way down to 1/128. The flash ratio between the left and right heads is also fully adjustable from 1:8 to 8:1, so you’ll never feel limited in your ability to control highlights and shadows across your subject. The heads are removable: position one to light your subject, the other to light the background, or any combination you choose depending on the shooting scenario. This can be especially useful for wide-angle macro photography.
Use both flashes for a guide number of 8.5 or one flash for a guide number of 6. Or, for softer lighting, simply rotate the built-in diffusers in front of the flash heads.
DUST AND SPLASHPROOF CONSTRUCTIONS
The STF-8 boasts dust, splash and freezeproof construction that perfectly complements weatherproof OM-D camera bodies and compatible M.Zuiko lenses, enabling you to illuminate your macro subject in the harshest of conditions.
MULTIPLE FLASHES, NO WIRES
With Olympus’ RC (remote control) system, you have access to a variety of wireless flash options. Use the STF-8 as a master flash to trigger additional RC compatible flash units, as a slave in one of four independently controlled groups. Perfectly light your macro subject with the STF-8 while using additional RC compatible Olympus flash units to illuminate the background.
Four available channels mean the RC Mode is resistant to interference from other photographers, so you can comfortably shoot events when other photographers are nearby.
ADJUSTABLE FLASH HEADS
The angle of the flash heads can be adjusted in a range of 60° upward to 40° downward, and the position of the flash heads along the ring adapter can be adjusted as well. Arrange the flashes to create shadows and achieve your desired level of depth in your photos.
COMPATIBLE WITH ADVANCED FEATURES
The STF-8 Twin Flash is compatible with advanced features like Focus Stacking* and Focus Bracketing**, available on select OM-D and PEN camera bodies. Now you can easily create stunning, perfectly lit macro shots with incredible depth-of-field!
